Green pool water is mainly caused by algae growth from weak sanitising or unbalanced water. The fix is easier than you think when done correctly.
The quick fix
- Shock the pool with a chlorine dose suited to its volume.
- Run the filter continuously long enough to clear the algae.
- Balance the pH between 7.2 and 7.6.
- Brush the floor and walls, then re-test.
If the problem keeps coming back, the filtration system is usually at fault — something we resolve in a single maintenance visit.
